Service Description

We live in a very fast paced, Yang focused world. We constantly push ourselves and often feel guilty for allowing us to rest. Most of us are stuck in the fight or flight response of the nervous system which eventually will make us sick. It is important to keep the balance between Yin and Yang, and this is exactly what we will do in our Yin flow class. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced and calming style of yoga, incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine with postures that are held for longer periods of time than in other styles. Yin yoga works with the meridian lines of the body which are channels known in traditional Chinese medicine that carry life energy throughout the body. Working with these lines allows stuck energy to flow more freely and you will find yourself in a deep state of relaxation. The time spent while holding the postures is similar to meditation.
